NEW DELHI (AP) - A bodyguard for Brad Pitt and Angelina
Jolie manhandled a British photographer as he tried to take their picture at a hotel in western India, an incident caught
on video by an Indian television station.
Pitt and Jolie are in Pune to shoot scenes for a movie about the life of
the slain journalist Daniel Pearl.
The celebrity couple have been holed up at the city's Le Meridian hotel since arriving
late week, presumably trying to avoid the horde of photographers, reporters and cameramen camped outside.
On Saturday
afternoon, when Pitt and Jolie tried to leave the hotel, one of their security guards caught a British photographer trying
to take their photo, grabbing the man by his neck and verbally abusing him.
Video of the incident was broadcast on
India's CNN-IBN news channel, and the Hindustan Times newspaper identified the photographer as Sam Relph of Barcroft Media.
The newspaper reported that the security guard had shouted at photographers to stop shooting the couple and moved
for Relph when he refused to put down his camera.
"He said if I took his pictures he would kill me," the Times quoted
Relph as saying. "I couldn't breathe. He had his fingers on my windpipe and he knew what he was doing."
Two Indian
journalists also complained that they too had been threatened by the same security guard, who was not identified in the report.
The couple are reportedly scheduled on Monday to start shooting scenes for "A Mighty Heart," in which Jolie plays
Pearl's widow, Mariane.
The movie is based on an adaptation of Mariane Pearl's book, "A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life
and Death of My Husband Danny Pearl," and will be co-produced by Plan B, a production company founded by Pitt and his ex-wife,
Jennifer Aniston.

Brad and Angie's Big-screen Adventures October 6, 2006
They're paying India a visit. Currently in Pune to shoot A Mighty Heart, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are the world's most powerful
celebrity couple.
Here's a trip down memory lane, sidestepping tabloid talk and paparazzi
scoops, looking at these two superstars and their rise to fame.
The Cowboy and the Cyborg
Born 1963, Pitt moonlighted as a chauffeur and fast-food mascot (in a chicken
suit) until the late 80s brought him television appearances. Still, it took 1991's Thelma & Louise for him
to get noticed -- he played Geena Davis' hatted one-night stand. Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie Voight, born 1975, didn't have
a similar struggle. Jon Voight's stunning daughter was born with Meatloaf music videos thrust upon her, and her first lead
role came in 1993's Cyborg 2, a low-budget film where she played a robot designed to kill by seduction. A portent
of things to come?

PUNE ,IANS :Hollywood star couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt preferred to rest intheir suites at Hotel Le Meridien here
since their belated arrival Thursday afternoon amid tight private security and impregnable secrecy.
Paparazzi ready to go on a trail of the celebrities hung around the hotel lounge since Friday morning, but grew weary
as the day ended without affording even afleeting glimpse of the celluloid world’s popular stars.
Braving incessant rains, agroup of journalists alsowaited outside a few appointed shooting locales ofthe upcoming Pitt
production “A Mighty Heart” onlyto know that the duo proposed to start the shootingon Sunday. However,
rumours are that they sneaked out from the hotel to take a brief tour of the city.
Meanwhile, a gratuitoussidelight came from a slighted top cop who said contrary to what the newspapersdished out and film
buffs believed, the Brangelina couple had not yet arrived in thecity. Assistant Commissioner of Police (Special Branch)S.N.Bhoomkar
on Friday afternoon said that neither any government agency nor any hotel has informed the police about the celebrities’
arrival.“Not only that, our own enquiries at all the places where the Jolie-Pitt duo is supposed to stay and do
the shooting have notyielded any positive information about their arrival,” Bhoomkar asserted.
Lohegaon Airport Director Deepak Shastri however, confirmed that he personally saw Jolie and Pitt arrive, children in tow.“They
might not have informed the police or asked for security but come of course, they have,” he added. While the two
were still at Le Meridien till Friday evening, sources said Jolie and Pitt are likelyto move out to Avinash Bhosale’s
Baner Road farmhouse that the production unit has booked for shooting.
While the star duo is under foolproof private security, ACP Bhoomkar is understandably conscious of the responsibility
of the police to ensure official security given the possibility of the celebrity pair’s fans flocking them wherever
they go.
Bhoomkar said the Le Meridien management didnot send police the mandatory ‘C Form’ carrying details
of foreign nationals’ arrivaland stay. “Even when we enquired with the hotel authorities, we didn’t
get any information,” Bhoomkar said. “The star couple came in yesterday. I cannot say anything more than
that,” said the receptionist. “It is the responsibility of foreign nationals and their local hosts to
keep police informedabout their stay and movements,”Bhoomkar said.
